PreK-12 Music Department holds Winter Concert
On Monday, Dec. 2, the Logan PreK-12 Music Department held their winter concert in the Logan Auditorium. The PreK-4th grade students sang an array of Christmas music including "Frosty the Snowman" and "Feliz Navidad," and the third and fourth graders entertained the crowd by playing "Jingle Bells" on Boomwhackers. The fifth and sixth graders also showed their instrumental talents as they played handbells, ukuleles and Boomwhackers to holiday tunes. The 7-12 choir took the stage next singing "Take Me Home," and "Let it Be Christmas." Seniors Jed Peace and Madison Gottstine sang a beautiful country duet entitled "I'll Be Home With Bells On." The bands performed next with the 5th graders playing two songs, and the 6-12 band playing several lively holiday favorites including "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let is Snow!" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." High school band members played a "Christmas Medley," arranged by Mrs. Sarah Rudd, for the final song the night. The choirs are directed by Mr. Paul Prewo, and Mrs. Sarah Rudd directed the bands.
