On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the Logan-Palco Trojans ended their regular season with a road trip to Oberlin. The JV contests were shortened due to low numbers, with the Trojans suffering losses for both the girls and boys. In varsity girls action, the Lady Trojans were only down 4 with 2 minutes left in the first half. The Red Devils quickly extended that lead with three uncontested layups and headed to the locker room with a 10 point lead. Decatur Community came back onto the court in the third quarter and outscored the Trojans 15-6, and ultimately won the game 59-26. Junior Ansley Delimont scored 10, and junior Mara Kats added 9 points and 6 rebounds. The Trojans seemed sluggish when they stepped on the court. While they earned the 31-16 lead at halftime, the Red Devils outscored the Trojans 9-0 in the third quarter and narrowed the gap to within 6 points. The Trojans managed to keep their lead and ended up with the 48-38 win. The sophomore duo of Rhett Kats and Caleb Sparks blazed the trail for the Trojans with Rhett earning 17 points and 9 rebounds, and Caleb following close behind with 14 points and 8 boards.
