KSHSAA decision affects Logan sports
Tuesday was a big day for the future of winter activities. The Kansas State High School Activities Association Board of Directors held a 4-hour meeting to act on several different items. Here is a summary of the decisions they made:
*Winter activities will begin as scheduled and the junior high will be able to continue.
*Face masks will be required of everyone except for the participants directly participating in the activity.
*December 23 to January 3 will be a winter moratorium for all activities, ie. no practices.
*Games will not be played between Dec. 23 and Jan. 7.
*From Dec. 1-Jan. 28 no spectators will be allowed /admitted to KSHSAA sponsored activities.
*Jan. 28 - the end of the seasons will have limited spectators that will be determined on a local basis
*Regional and state music will be a virtual format. Students will record and send in their performances. To avoid recording twice (once for Regionals and once for State), all participants will be able to submit to the state contest.
Logan Schools have been working on a way to live stream activities. Keep watching the website for more information.
If other questions arise, please contact the school, and we will do our best to answer those questions.
