Students to participate in JH Honor Band and Choir
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Saturday, Nov. 7, JH students from across NW Kansas will come together for the NW KMEA JH Honor Band and Honor Choir. Representing Logan JH in the choir are Camryn Greving and Toni Jenner. The choir, comprised of about 200 JH students will perform at Hays High School under the direction of Mark Lucas from Bethany College. Students were selected via paper audition. Madison Gottstine will play in the band, sitting first chair in the trumpet section. Madison was selected based on a recorded audition of required material. The band will be under the direction of Dana Hammit, a retired educator from Wichita. The concert which begins at 3:30 p.m. features the honor band, honor choir and the high school honor jazz band. Admission is $5 for adults; students are free.
