Ag Mechanics students place in contest

The Ag Mechanics team headed to Goodland, Kansas, to test their knowledge at the Ag Mechanics CDE contest on February 27.  

The students participated in Welding-Ag Construction and Maintenance, Electrical-electricity, and Carpentry- Structures and Environment. 

The students that participated in the three contest were Hunter Hogan, Colby Leggett, Jed Peace, and Gage DeBoer.  This was Logan FFA's first time to participate in the Ag Mechanics contest.  

In Welding -AG Construction and Maintenance -Colby Leggett received 2nd place, Gage DeBoer tied for 13th, and Hunter Hogan placed 28th. The team placed 1st in the Welding-Ag Construction and Maintenance division.  

In Carpentry- Ag Structures- the team placed 9th. 

In Electrical-Electricity- the team placed 12th in that division. 

The Logan FFA members plans on going to the AG Mechanics contest again next year and participating in diesel mechanics and surveying land and water management to further their knowledge in this contest.
