Musicians to perform at district concerts
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe NW District of KMEA has announced selection of the District Junior High Honor Band and Choir and the District High School Honor Jazz Band. Five students from Logan have been selected. Representing Logan Junior High in the choir will be seventh grader Emma Schwenn and eighth graders, Levi Rust and Kylee Uhland. Selected for the Junior High Honor Band is seventh grader Cydnee Rider. She will play in the trumpet section. Performing in the High School Honor Jazz band will be Madison Gottstine, junior, on trumpet. Madison was selected first chair. Both trumpet players auditioned on required music. The students will attend an all day rehearsal on November 3 at Hays High School. The concert will begin at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and students are free. Mrs. Vesta Jo Still is the music director.
