Logan Scholar's Bowl places 4th at Regionals
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Thursday, January 31, LHS Scholars Bowl team members Matt Kirkendall, Bodey LeRoux, Zachary Jansonius, Jed Peace, and Ian Sparks traveled to Atwood to participate in the 1A Regional Scholars Bowl tournament. There were 14 teams competing. The Trojans first competed in pool play. They defeated Northern Valley, Cheylin, St. Francis, and Weskan. They finished with a record of 4-2 and placed 1st in Pool A. Leading scorers for the Trojans were Matt with 70 points and Bodey and Zachary with 50 points. They then advanced to Finals where they defeated Wheatland/Grinnell and Rawlins County. They lost in a tie break to Greeley County and then were defeated by St. Francis and Hill City to finish with a finals record of 2-3. They placed 4th overall. Wheatland/Grinnell finished in 1st place and Hill City took 2nd. Leading scorers for the Trojans were Bodey with 35, Matt with 30, and Zachary with 25.
