2020-21 Highschool Volleyball Summary

The 2020-21 High School Girls Volleyball team had an amazing start to their season!  The first game of the girls Junior Varsity against Norton ended with a score of 25-10, 26-24.  So the Trojans got their first win of the season.  The junior varsity team also won against Russell, Triplains/Brewster, Golden Plains, Wheatland/Grinnell, Oberlin, and Dighton.  After their strong start, the girls lost to Ellis with the score of 15-25, 11-25.  They also lost to Quinter.

Junior Abigail Graham started volleyball by going to a volleyball camp with friends just for fun!  Abby’s favorite position to play is middle front or middle back.  She didn’t have an idol at first but as she grew up she learned to love college volleyball, and she started looking up to players.  We are very happy to have had Abby on our high school volleyball team.

Senior Haylee Tien started playing volleyball in the 6th grade and has loved it since then.  As she grew up she looked up to older high school girls and upper-classmen. She loves to be libero and said that she has never been good at the front row and hitting but being the libero has given her an opportunity to play more in the back row where she loves to play.

Sophomore Jersey Voss started playing volleyball because all three of her sisters played and she played it growing up.  Her role models were her sisters Harlee and Justice because Justice won state her senior year and Harlee was a great player.  Her favorite position is middle hitter.  Jersey was also asked if she had ever thought about quitting because of stress.  She said yes, because of school and volleyball every night and most weekends, quitting has crossed her mind, but never enough to act on.

Finally, the varsity girls did very well.  They came off with a strong start winning their first two games and losing the next but still being strong!  Even with the girls losses, they came off very strong at league and won first.  In conclusion all of the girls performed very well and the Logan family is very proud!
