Lady Trojans dominate Northern Valley Huskies
Sometimes the game plan just goes better than others, and everything fell perfectly into place for the Lady Trojans on Friday, January 27 against the Northern Valley Lady Huskies. It started off with a solid showing from the Logan JV girls who in two quarters were able to double the points on the Huskies and secured a 16-8 win. The Logan varsity girls picked right up where their teammates had finished. At the end of the first quarter the Trojans were ahead 13-6 and extended the lead to 19 by halftime. The intensity continued into the second half, as no lead is safe against the powerful offense that the Huskies have proven to possess. The Lady Trojans ended the game with a commanding 60-34 victory. There were eight Trojans who posted numbers in the scorebook, which led to fairly uniform scoring and difficulty for the defense. Ryann Kats had 15 points and 7 boards; Karlee Braun had 11 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Lexi Hilburn and Harlee Voss both contributed 8 points apiece and Lexi pulled down 7 boards. The Lady Trojans shot an impressive 51% from the field. They will certainly like to carry this momentum into the WKLL basketball tournament, which will get underway on Monday, January 30.
