Logan High School basketball teams open season with 2 wins
The Logan Trojan High School basketball teams opened the season with home games on Friday, December 6th again Western Plains/Healy. The girls started out a little slow, as they were only able to post a 9-4 lead at the end of the first half. The second half proved to be a little better and the Lady Trojans went on to secure their first win of the season by a score of 32-12. Harlee Voss set the pace for the Trojans scoring 14 points and grabbing 4 steals in the contest. Camryn Greving had 7 boards, 5 points and 2 steals and Kelcee Braun had 6 rebounds 3 steals and 2 points.
In the second game of the night, the Logan boys were grateful for a 24 point second quarter, as they held on for a 49-44 first game of the season win. Sophomore Kylor Hogan led the Trojans scoring with 13 points and he also grabbed 2 boards and 2 steals. Ian Sparks followed with 8 points & 3 boards and Trey Kats had 7 points, 3 rebounds and one assist. Next week the Trojans will be traveling to Brewster to participate in the Sagebrush Shootout. The Lady Trojans open Monday with Cheylin and the Trojans will face Wallace County.
