Logan set to play Northern Valley in WKLL on Saturday
Opening play in the WKLL basketball tournament, the Lady Logan Trojans faced the Palco Roosters. After the 5 point nail-biter in the first game they played, the Trojans were hoping to gain more control in this meeting. Better shooting and less turnovers helped contribute to the 52-36 victory over the Roosters. After the win, the Lady Trojans will have a little less than 24 hours to prepare for the semifinal game on Tuesday against Weskan.
With a quick turnaround, the Lady Trojans faced the Weskan Coyotes on Tuesday, January 31 in the semifinals of the WKLL tournament. The game was very physical and shooting from both teams was less than they hoped for. The Trojans struggled with the physicality of the game, causing them to get out-rebounded. In the low scoring game, the Trojans found them themselves on the short end by a score of 26-34. This pits Logan once again against Northern Valley on Saturday, February 4 at 1:00 for the consolation title.
