Girls finish volleyball season at Sub-state competition in Ransom
After taking the 1A Regional Volleyball tournament by storm and winning on their home court on Oct. 22, the Logan Lady Trojans advanced to Sub-state competition in Ransom on Saturday, Oct. 26. Seeded 4th in the tournament with a 23-12 record, the Trojans were matched with #5 seeded Sharon Springs-Wallace County with a record of 23-13. After losing the first set with a close score of 23-25, the Trojans played more aggressively in the second set and were up by 17-12 at one point. They couldn't hold on and lost the second set by another score of 23-25.
"Like all teams going into Sub-state, we had high hopes and expectations. Those fell short that day as we just didn't pass the ball good enough to win the match. However, I couldn't be more proud of this group of young ladies and what they have accomplished this year. A huge thank you to all the fans who have followed us in many ways and places this year. Thank you girls for the time and effort you put forth this year!" said head coach Robin Van Laeys.
