Lady Trojans earn 2nd place finish in WKLL tournament
After a late weather-filled night in Palco for football the night before, the Lady Trojans were on the road early on Saturday, Oct. 19 headed to Brewster for the Western Kansas Liberty League volleyball tournament. In pool play, the #3 seeded Trojans beat #6 Cheylin and # 7 Weskan, and lost to #2 Wheatland-Grinnell, but were still able to move on to bracket play. In their first round, the Trojans rocked the gym as they knocked off the #1 seeded Bulldogs from Golden Plains in 3 sets. This put the Trojans up against Wheatland-Grinnell again in the championship game. While the Trojans played much better than previously in the day, they couldn't quite keep up with the Thunderhawks and lost 22-25 and 21-25, giving them a 2nd place finish in the tournament. Way to go, ladies!!
