Sam Pinkerton places 7th at State XC!

Way to go, Sam!!  Junior Sam Pinkerton placed 7th at the Class 1A State Cross-Country competition held Saturday, Oct. 31 in Victoria.  In his 3rd year at the State meet, he has moved his placings from 46th his freshman year, to 18th his sophomore more, to 7th as a junior!  He also scored a new personal record with a time of 17:06.1!!  Overall 90 boys competed in the race.

Because Logan does not have a cross-country team, Sam has traveled to Phillipsburg all season to train and practice with the Panther team.  Last Saturday, at Regionals, Sam put on the red and white to run for his own Logan Trojans. He placed 6th at Tribune with the time of 18:28.83.  Sam has placed in the top 8 in all of his meets this year.

Thank you Mrs. Pinkerton for sharing your photos with us!

We're proud of you, Sam!
