Boys place 2nd in Sagebrush Shootout
The boys team from Logan faced the Triplains/Brewster Titans in the semifinals. The Titans were quite quick and provided an aggressive full court press. The Trojans however were able to stay in control with a final 17 point push in the 4th quarter and defeated Triplains/Brewster to advance to the championship game on Saturday.
The Logan Trojans boys team played the last game of the night as they vied for the first place title with the St. Francis Indians. The Indians showed the athleticism that took them to the championship football game just weeks earlier. Their size, speed and shooting accuracy proved to be more than the Trojans could contain. Logan lost 36-67 to a very talented St. Francis team and the loss gave the Trojans the 2nd place title at the Sagebrush Shootout Tournament. Josh Van Laeys was selected to the All-Tournament team. The next action for the Trojans will be on Dec. 20 against Oberlin at 4:00 in Logan.
