Trojans win one on the road
Friday, February 10 brought a road game for the Logan Trojans as they traveled nearly to Colorado to play league opponent, the Weskan Coyotes. Due to shortage of players for the Coyotes, only 2 quarters of junior varsity was played and the Trojans came away with a 26-8 victory. In the varsity game, the Trojans certainly outsized the Coyotes, and it proved to be a noteworthy difference as they defeated Weskan 52-24. With the Trojans size and defense, they held the cold-shooting Coyotes to only 5 points during the 2nd and 3rd quarters. It was great to have 8 Trojans contributing to the score this game. They were led by senior Josh Van Laeys with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Following was junior Riley Allen with 9 points and 8 rebounds, and senior Kelson Kats with 8 points and 2 assists. Next week the Trojans will take their 11-6 record on the road to Hill City and Grainfield.
