Trojans slide past Redmen
In boys basketball action against Smith Center, the Logan junior varsity team had a rough go as they faced a team with more experience and certainly more depth. Smith Center won the JV contest by a score of 19-43. Bodey LeRoux led scoring with 7 points and Lane Stapleton and Michael Daniels each had 5. In the varsity matchup, the Logan boys had a very slow start as they immediately found themselves in a 0-8 deficit. They were able to get things flowing and clawed back to 12-12 end of the first quarter and then were able to go ahead in the second quarter to head to the locker room at half time with a 29-22 lead. The Trojans were able to hold on to the led, which landed them a 55-48 victory over the Smith Center Redmen. Leading the charge that night was Josh Van Laeys with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Regan Kats also poured in 19 points and had 9 rebounds. Joseph Salinas had 4 big assists and 4 rebounds and Kelson Kats had 7 points. This win pushes the Logan Trojan record to 14-3.
