Logan JH girls split, boys pick up two wins on the road
This week's junior high schedule consisted of two games. On Monday, Jan. 11, Logan took on Western Plains/Healy in the Palco gym. The B-team girls did not play due to low numbers, and the boys ended their game with a 6-6 tie. The A-team girls won 30-24 with the A-team boys coming up big 43-8.
Then on Tuesday, Jan. 12, the Logan/Palco Trojans traveled to McDonald, KS to play Cheylin. In 2 quarters for the junior varsity games, both teams came away with wins and the girls scored 6-0 and the boys scored 18-8. The Logan varsity girls started the game very cold with several turnovers. They changed things around in the 2nd half but couldn't catch the Cougars and ended with a loss 19-29. The varsity boys dominated the game from the beginning and finished 40-20.
