Junior Trojan volleyballers end their regular season
The Logan Junior High girls ended their regular volleyball season with games on Monday, Oct. 16 at Damar.
The Logan A-team won 2-1 vs. Palco 25-21; 18-25; 25-12, but lost to Grinnell 18-25; 8-25. In the B-Team match-ups, Logan lost their first game to Palco 3-25; 25-22; 3-15, but rallied to beat Grinnell in three sets 25-19; 21-25; 15-11
"It was an exciting night of volleyball for the junior Trojans. The A-team came out a flat vs. Palco, but then regained momentum to win the 2nd and 3rd sets. The B-team played very well against Palco and they served strong. Although the B-team lost in 3 sets, the B-team played well and showed much improvement.
Our girls played very timid in the A-team match vs. Grinnell. We let a couple of servers string points on us, and we did not respond with strong play or serves. However, the B-team played with much confidence and won their match vs. Grinnell. This win was a great way to end the season for the B-team girls. They were rewarded for their effort all season," said head coach Cher Greving. (Photos by Melissa Graham)
