JH boys basketball chalks up two wins on the road
The Logan Junior High traveled twice last week in what could be their last games of 2020, depending on the KSHSAA ruling to be determined on Nov. 24. The Trojans headed to Oberlin on Monday, Nov. 16 to take on the Red Devils of Decatur Community. Only A-team games were played with the girls losing by a substantial margin, and the boys winning 22-14.
The Logan teams played again on Thursday, taking the trip to Rexford to play Golden Plains. The B-team boys were able to play 2 quarters, coming up short 2-12.
The Lady Trojans were no match for the fast-paced, hot-shooting Bulldogs and lost by a large deficit. The A-team boys game proved exciting until the end as the Trojans got into foul trouble in the 4th quarter and the Bulldogs poured on the heat coming back within 4 points of Logan. The Trojans hung on and squeaked by with the 40-34 win.
The games scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23 against Thunder Ridge were cancelled, so their next action is scheduled to be Thursday, Dec. 3 when Northern Valley comes to Logan.
