Junior High Huskies take over the Trojans
The Junior Trojans traveled to Long Island this week to take on the Huskies of Northern Valley.
The A-team volleyball girls were defeated in two sets: 18-25 and 22-25. The Lady Trojans struggled serving while only connecting on 29/40 serves for 73% serving average. Leading server for the Trojans was Rylee Delimont with 10/13 serves and 5 aces.
The B-team volleyball girls were defeated in two sets: 10-25 and 17-25.
In the football match-up, Northern Valley defeated Logan/Palco 22-14.
"The first half we had a lot of turnovers and our defense wasn't playing well. They scored all their points in the first half. The second half our defense stepped up and had numerous stops. We couldn't quite get the offense going though. Credit to our guys who never gave up and played harder as the game went on," said coach Logan Waters.
