LHS Scholars Bowl team finishes 4th at Regionals
On February 1 the LHS Scholars Bowl Team travelled to St. John’s-Beloit to compete in in the 1A Division II regional tournament. Teams competing at this Regional were Glasco, Palco, Northern Valley, St. John’s-Beloit, Tipton, Natoma, Pike Valley, and Logan. Each team played every other team and then the top four advanced to finals. After the first rounds of play, Tipton finished in 1st, Pike Valley was 2nd, St. John’s-Beloit was 3rd, and Logan was 4th. In the finals Logan lost to Tipton and Pike Valley to finish in 4th. Tipton finished in 1st and St. John’s Beloit finished in 2nd. Competing for Logan were Ian Sparks, Khloee Braun, Colton Ashmore, Dylan Van Laeys, Sam Pinkerton, and Madi Brackney. Leading scorers for the Trojans were Dylan with 85 and Colton with 50. Congratulations to the LHS Scholars Bowl team on a terrific season!
