Ryan Prewo selected as KAY Area 4 President
2023 KAY REGIONAL CONFERENCE
10 members of the Logan KAY Club attended the Area 4 KAY Regional Conference on Monday, November 6th at Norton Community High School.
The club received the Gold Award, recognizing their student leadership and
service to their school, community, nation and world for the 2022-2023 school year.
Ryan Prewo, a junior, was selected to serve as Area 4 KAY President. During Ryan’s 3 years in Logan KAY he has served as Freshman Representative, Treasurer, and is currently serving as Secretary. Among his duties will be to attend a training in Topeka, write three newsletters for the clubs he serves, attend KAY leadership camp in July, and conduct the 2024 Area 4 KAY Regional Conference that will be hosted in Logan.
The Kansas Association for Youth (KAY) is a character-building, leadership training program directed by the Kansas State High School Activities Association. This nationally acclaimed organization provides students an opportunity to learn to assume their citizenship responsibilities and to enrich their personalities through well-organized programs. These programs emphasize four areas of service: school, community, nation and world.
The theme for the 2023 Regional Conference was "Leadership Roundup"! This conference affords opportunities for student leaders and sponsors from neighboring clubs to share successes and challenges, as well as exchange ideas. Sessions in leadership training and organizational skills are also offered. These conferences inspire delegates to return to their clubs to challenge their local members.
