Welding Class hosts Ladies Night Out

Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Logan FFA held their 2nd Annual Ladies Night Out Welding event on Nov. 9, 2023. We had 11 ladies attend the class. We started with a supper consisting of chili or potato soup and a cinnamon roll made by the food science students. Then, they had a brief safety presentation followed by going to the welding shop and welding. They made a napkin/letter holder. Each participant got to pick a design for their project. Then, the welding students help them fabricate the napkin holder together. They MIG welded their project. Then, the rest of the time was spent practicing on the plasma cutting machines and stick welding. The students and the ladies had a great time and learned so much. Thank you to all who helped and participated. It was a fun evening for all.
